Roseville Area High School Announces New Varsity Coach

IMG_4256Roseville Area High School is pleased to announce the hiring of James Cave as the new girls varsity soccer coach.

Coach Cave brings a wealth of experience (both playing and coaching) with him to Roseville Area High School.

Coach Cave played his high school soccer at Alexander Ramsey & Roseville Area High School (’87) and college at Saint Mary’s in Winona.

In his 16 years as a head varsity coach (13 years in the Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls program and 3 years in the Irondale High school boys program) Cave has earned has 187 wins, 5 conference championships, 6 section final appearances and 2 state tournament runner-up finishes. Coach Cave was also named NSCAA/ADIDAS Minnesota Private School Coach of the Year twice.

Coach Cave has been a teacher for 22 years (currently teaches at Hmong College Prep Academy in Saint Paul) and lives in the Midway with his wife of 23 years Molly and their children Zachary (19), Zoe (18), Bright (18), Eli (16), Poppy (14) and Iris (12), their Irish Wolfhound Se7en and their cat named Kitty.
