The Roseville Girls Soccer program is pleased to announce a partnership with Laurus Athletic Rehab and Performance Center. An introduction to our new program will take place at our Summer Development Training (SDT) session at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 20.
Former Golden Gopher goalkeeper, D1/D3 coach, and Laurus owner, Julie Ebensteiner will attend our SDT session to introduce all of the girls in attendance to our new pre-training and match warm-up that will help our girls improve performance and decrease injuries.
Injuries in youth sports continue to rise, often leading to early exits from sports participation. For example, the number of ACL injuries has increased 400% over the last 10 years (AAOS).
There is an ever growing body of evidence demonstrating that a neuromuscular based program of 10-15 minutes in length, used 2-3 times per week on a regular basis, can significantly reduce the amount of lower extremity injuries in athletes in cutting, pivoting, and jumping sports [Laurus.com].
All girls entering grades 8-12 who are planning on participating in girls soccer this fall are encouraged to attend Julie’s improve performance/decrease injury session.
[Please remember that all summer sessions are optional].
